Who's teaching

I shot my way into Vogue. I still had to figure out pricing alone.

That part took years longer than the camera part, and it was the part that decided whether I got to keep doing this. Nobody teaches it. Everyone assumes you'll absorb it somehow, usually by undercharging for two years until you're too tired to continue.

So this is both halves. The technical half gets you to where you can hand someone a gallery you're proud of. The business half gets you paid for it. You need both, and most people only ever get handed one.

I'm not going to promise you clients. Nobody honest can. What I can do is hand you every single thing I wish somebody had handed me, in order, with nothing skipped because it was awkward to talk about.

The worksheet that tells you what you should actually charge.

One page. You put in what your gear, software, insurance and hours really cost. It hands back the number you cannot go below without losing money. First thing I'd fix if I were starting over.

Before you ask

I have a kit lens and no clue. Too early?
No. That's exactly who this is for. Module one assumes you've never left auto.
Is this all video?
None of it. It's written, with photographs, so you can search it, reread the one paragraph you needed, and finish a lesson on your phone in five minutes. Nobody scrubs back through a 22-minute video to find the aperture I mentioned.
Will this get me clients?
I have no idea, and neither does anyone who says otherwise. It gives you the pricing, the outreach and the scripts I use. The rest is you.
Does it cover weddings?
Yes, plus portraits, elopements, editorial and commercial. Module five is a full wedding day, hour by hour.
Canon, Sony or Nikon?
Whichever you own. Settings are taught by what they do to the picture, not by menu names.
Is there a contract template?
Deliberately not. I'm a photographer, not an attorney, and handing you my contract would do you a disservice. You get a clause-by-clause checklist and an intake sheet so your own lawyer drafts yours in one short, cheap meeting.
How long does it take?
A module a week is eight weeks. A lesson a night is about six. It's yours forever either way.
What if I hate it?
Refund window at launch, terms posted before you pay. I'd rather give your money back than have you resent something with my name on it.
